campus ministry

College athletes influence their whole campus. As an intern with AIA’s campus ministry, you’ll help athletes discover identity and belonging that goes deeper than their performance.

Sport MINISTRY

By specializing with a Sport Team, you’ll be part of a national team, based at our Xenia, Ohio headquarters, that mobilizes athletes to share their faith around the world through trips, training clinics, or leadership academies.

SALARY

WILL I BE PAID?

Interns with Athletes in Action raise financial support to cover their full-time salary, and training & travel expenses. Your training will equip you for that process (called Ministry Partner Development). You can read more about raising support as an intern in the Getting Started on Staff Guidebook

WHAT DEADLINES SHOULD I KNOW?

There are three different seasons when interns begin their time with Athletes in Action through a three day training.  The application process takes up to 6 weeks to complete, so be sure to get a head start!

The three different application deadlines are: March 1, May 15, and October 1

The three training seasons that follow the application deadlines are mid-April, late-August, and mid-January.

length

how long is an internship?

Most internships last 12 months after the financial support process is finished. Typically an intern would develop their financial support from April-July, and then work at their ministry assignment beginning in August.

academic internships

Most AIA internships are designed for college graduates, last a full year, and involve raising support to cover compensation.

If you are still studying and are interested in an unpaid internship with one of our national teams to fulfill academic requirements, let us know! We’d be happy to explore options with you.
