Join the AIA team

Start with
one yes.

You’ve seen God use you on a team, on a trip or at camp. AIA walks with you, one step at a time, from your next yes to a team that sends you, so more athletes meet Jesus.

Someone believes in you

You don't need it all figured out.

People who know you see what God is doing in you, and they want to help you take the next step. We felt the same questions once. Someone believed in us first.

From “Am I ready?” to “I’m sent.”

The path

One yes at a time.

1

Go

Join a sports trip, Ultimate Training Camp or an internship. Get a taste of the work.

2

Grow

See God use you, and build your gifts alongside a team that cheers you on.

3

Step in

Talk with a staff member who knows you, and take the next step together.

You won't go alone

Straight talk about support.

Raising your support sounds like the scariest part of saying yes. With training, a coach and thousands who’ve done it before you, it becomes the moment you build the team that sends you.

  • Training. 40+ hours of support-raising training at New Staff Orientation.
  • A coach. A personal coach who walks with you until you’re fully funded.
  • A team for eternity. People who know your name, pray for you and look forward to your updates.
Common questions

Like all Cru staff, AIA staff build a team of people who pray and give monthly so they can serve full time. You build that team before you start, with training and a coach.

Yes. New staff attend a 10-day New Staff Orientation with 40+ hours of support-raising training. Then a coach works with you on a personal timeline until you’re fully funded.

It depends on the role. For a one-year internship it can take a few months. For full-time ministry it can be closer to a year.

Your salary, benefits (health plan, disability and life insurance), retirement, and ministry costs like training and materials. Even Cru’s president raises support.

Most new staff haven’t. It’s a skill you learn with a coach, not a personality type. Cru has walked thousands of staff through it since 1951.

See athletes meet Jesus

Give your life to something real.

Watch athletes, teammates and coaches find hope, and see the good a life of faith can do.

The difference a yes makes

Don't carry the question alone.

Without a next step

You stay unsure for years and carry the question alone. “Someday” turns into five more years of wondering what God might have done through you.

With a team behind you

You serve with friends who believe in you. You know how support works, a team stands behind you, and you get to see athletes meet Jesus.
