Athletes in Action is excited to focus on building local programs here at our “homebase” campus in Xenia! For those of you familiar with the classic Kevin Costner film Field of Dreams, you can appreciate the motto;
“If you build it, he (in our case they) will come”
We invite you to come be a part of the great programs that will be introduced in coming months!
We’re expanding our resources to now serve the local Dayton community by providing youth and adult sport leagues, camps and also family centered opportunities like festivals, movie nights, game nights, and volunteer opportunities.
Fall Programs and Activities:
1.) YOUTH CLUB SOCCER
2.) YOUTH NFL FLAG FOOTBALL
3.) SPORTS PERFORMANCE CENTER TEAM & INDIVIDUAL TRAINING
4.) SPORTS PERFORMANCE CENTER OHIO GALAXIES SOCCER TRAINING

FACILITY UPDATE: CHALLENGE COURSE
Growth can be defined as the process of developing or maturing physically, mentally, or spiritually. But what does that really mean and how do we grow? Well there are lots of thoughts and opinions around how one can accomplish growth but for me its as simple as “doing.”
At the AIA Challenge Course we help teams grow by doing or through “experiencing” to be more specific. In the challenge course world there is something called the experiential learning cycle which goes something like this. You have an experience followed by discussing that experience with peers. Then, take time to reflect and transfer that gained knowledge to future experiences. This can also be referred as experiential education.
The experiential learning cycle can turn an experience into a learning opportunity. With the AIA Challenge Course we create that experience through a series of intentionally designed activities or challenges. The key to effective experiential education is in the transfer of knowledge and cognitive change (ie. growth). This transfer may occur on its own but it’s more likely to occur through a facilitated process. Here in lies the benefit of being a part of a program like the ones we have here at Athletes in Action.
We can take your team or group to the next level through the process of facilitated experiential education.
If you are looking for fun creative ways to help your team grow, we are here to serve you. We would love to build a program thats geared toward your team and their specific needs.
-Ohio Galaxies and Lightning Lacrosse Practices: As the fall season has kicked off, two of our partner organizations took the field to kick off fall training.
-AIA Catalytic Retreat: In late September, over 100 Athletes in Action staff members descended upon our headquarters facility to enjoy team activities, worship, and a little bit of fun as well.
-NCSAA Tournament: Once again, we will be hosting the National Chrisitan School Athletic Association National Soccer Tournament. From October 27-29, schools from coast to coast will be staying, eating, and playing at our complex for this season’s national crown.
-Ohio Galaxies Turf Fest: Teams from around the state are scheduled to play in the annual Galaxies Turf Fest tournament at the AIA Sports Complex. For more information, click here!
