Athlete, Know What is Most Real

Mo Michalski

2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Last Christmas morning I watched the classic animated movie “Polar Express” at home with my family. It’s a timeless, tender, wonder-laced, belief-driven, children-centered story.

Gifted actor Tom Hanks plays about every male voice in the film. It’s one for the ages.

Emerging from this touching adventure stands one great line. It comes from a child: “SOMETIMES WHAT IS MOST REAL IS THE UNSEEN.” That one sure hit the mark for me.

May I remind you that God the Father brought this message home to us first-best through Christ. He wanted us to behold Jesus, believe Jesus, and move forward with the peace and confidence He truly brings.

Christmas births this story for us.

May you see beyond sight and trust and follow Jesus no matter what. He came. He comes. He’s coming again. Believe.

And let’s keep living in light of this each new day!

A prayer to consider: Spirit of God, keep confirming what’s most real to me. Don’t let me settle for living only by what I see. Keep bringing me to Your Holy Word and unwavering belief in all that You are and all that You call me to be and do. Amen.
