I Cant GO On... I will go On
Poet Samuel Becket describes a moment when he was taken to a point of no return. He shared, “I can’t go on!” How many times have you experienced a moment like that? Pushed far beyond what you thought you could go, and enough was enough, you are done!
Yet, something inside of you continues to burn and there is a glimmer of hope, a speck, a tiny light at the end of the tunnel! Becket continues with the words right after “I can’t go on,” with the definitive statement, “I will go on!” So what took place in between these two phrases? What moved or stirred in Becket’s heart and soul that moved him to continue on?
That is the question we desire to answer! Every athlete and human comes to a point in their lives where they can’t go on, enough is enough, the next step is not an option! Yet, something in them is moved to keep going, to take the next step, and go against the odds when everything around them seems hopeless
