TOTAL ATHLETE TIP-OFF

With the start of the 2024-25 NCAA Division 1 basketball season comes an exciting first for fans in the Dayton, Ohio region. Athletes in Action, along with presenting partner AION, are hosting the first-ever Total Athlete Tip-Off on Nov. 4, with eight Division 1 teams slated to take the court at the John Wooden Family Fieldhouse.

This inaugural, neutral site event seeks to holistically serve athletes, using the state-of-the-art John Wooden Family Fieldhouse—the namesake venue of the legendary UCLA Coach John Wooden. For basketball fans, there is plenty of excitement on the court, with participating teams being announced soon.

Championing quality on-court competition while fostering off-court community-centric initiatives, the weekend’s activities will mix local focus with the exposure of a national reach. Weekend events will include a Community Serve Day, a Youth Basketball Clinic and a Team Banquet.

Athletes in Action’s Director of Basketball, Jared Miller said, “Sport provides a unique unifying platform to connect people like few things in society. AIA’s historical rich tradition in basketball, its promising upstart Prep Academy, and the new John Wooden Family Fieldhouse are all opportunities to leverage the game to be a beacon to our community. We’re excited to see how the Total Athlete Tip-Off elevates the Greater Dayton Area, and the college basketball landscape as a whole.”
